Q: I would like to attend a meeting, what are the details?
A: Meetings are held every second Tuesday and last Tuesday of the month. See here for more information.
      The current session is at member-capacity, and will be run again in 2011.

Q: In what country do you operate?
A: At the moment, we are based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Q: Who can come to a meeting?
A: Anyone who is interested in meeting people to share ideas about business. The meetings are open minded and aimed at people who are interested in business. It is a forum for sharing ideas and resources, it is informal and no expertise is expected!

Q: What do you mean by "an eco-friendly and sustainable" club?
A: At meetings there will be no meeting handouts, worksheets or any paper handouts of any kind. This is to keep our carbon footprint neutral (or as low as possible!). All meeting information will be shared on a whiteboard at the meeting, and any interesting ideas will be recorded on this website. Everyone is welcome (and encouraged!) to bring paper and pens for writing all their great ideas on, and business cards if you have them for networking with like-minded people!

Q: What do the meetings cost?
A:  The only cost will be to cover the venue, not exceeding NZ$5 per person per meeting.

Q: Will there be professional advice at the meeting?
A: All information provided at the meeting will come from personal experience of attendees. Amateurs and professionals alike are encouraged to contribute - therefore there is no guarantee that the information is without flaws. The focus is on networking and finding out about useful possible resources. You can read the legal stuff here for more information. From time to time we will have guest speakers who are experts in their areas, but generally the meeting is not based on expert advice, it is a meeting for fostering new ideas and sharing information. 

Q: Do I have to become a member?
A: No, there are no membership rules or joining procedures at the moment. You may come to a meeting once you have confirmed your attendence at a specific meeting but you are not expected to come to every meeting. It is encouraged to come to several meetings because they will be useful, informative, varied and helpful, but you are under no obligation.

Q: How many people attend the meeting?
A: For group dynamic purposes we have set the limit at 12 people. These 12 people are on a first-come first-served basis. I.e. Once you email us and confirm you will be attending a specific meeting you are allocated a place. 

Q: Why do you have a Purple Fern as your logo?
A: The unfurling fern is symbolic of new beginnings - and this club is all about new beginnings! Thanks again to Footloosiety for the great photo!
